Poem for body organs
Heart a beating drum of life,
With every thump, our existence you renew.
A rhythm divine, a steady, tireless beat,
Through joy and sorrow, you never retreat.
Eledumare made me and am wonderfully made.
Lungs, oh breath-givers, where life takes hold,
Inhaling the air, exhaling stories untold.
Oxygen carriers, expanding and releasing,
Fueling our spirits, our dreams never ceasing.
Eledumare made me and am wonderfully made
Liver, guardian of purity and might,
Detoxifying, cleansing, shining so bright.
A filter of toxins, a factory of grace,
Restoring our bodies, in every embrace.
Eledumare made me and am wonderfully made.
Kidneys, quiet heroes, in their sacred domain,
Flushing out impurities, a cleansing rain.
Balancing fluids, maintaining harmony,
A symphony of balance, they silently decree.
Eledumare made me and am wonderfully made
Intestines, the path of nourishment’s quest,
Absorbing nutrients, giving bodies their best.
Peristaltic waves guide the journey within,
Digesting life’s feast, where sustenance begins.
Eledumare made me and am wonderfully made.
Brain, the mastermind, the captain of thought,
Complex and intricate, a universe sought.
Consciousness blooms, ideas taking flight,
Mapping our dreams, in the realm of the night.
Eledumare made me and am wonderfully made.
Skin, the guardian, a fortress so grand,
Protecting our essence, embracing the land.
A touch of connection, a shield from the cold,
Through senses it whispers, tales yet untold.
Eledumare made me and am wonderfully made
Bones, the pillars, sturdy and strong,
An architectural wonder, where we belong.
Supporting our structure, a framework so fine,
Enabling us to dance, to reach and to climb.
Eledumare made me and am wonderfully made.
