Poem for peacemaking
We seek dialogue in a place of violence,
Understanding differences, embracing silence,
With weapon of empathy and armour of love,
Building bridges that will not rust.
CHORUS:
As we call on Eledumare,
As we reverence and pay obeisance,
Let us live in peace,
With our fellow humans.
Peace answers in turbulent times and days,
To unite all hearts,
To mend all souls,
And give a harmonious co-existence .
CHORUS:
As we call on Eledumare,
As we reverence and pay obeisance,
Let us live in peace,
With our fellow humans.
With words that inspire and actions that heal,
They illuminate the darkness, revealing what’s real,
Championing justice and equality for all,
Breaking down barriers, tearing down walls.
CHORUS:
As we call on Eledumare,
As we reverence and pay obeisance,
Let us live in peace,
With our fellow humans.
Peacemaking is indeed a noble crusade,
Make the advocate’s message, never to fade,
For peace is not simply an absence of war,
But a world filled with love, forevermore.
CHORUS:
As we call on Eledumare,
As we reverence and pay obeisance,
Let us live in peace,
With our fellow humans.
